It is not a common occurrence for Las Vegas casinos to get robbed. Casino security has advanced greatly thanks to technological advancements and most Las Vegas casinos have proven to be impenetrable to scams and many silly robbery attempts over the years were quickly foiled.

However new fools join the criminal ranks everyday and one of these fools robbed the Bellagio Casino back in December 2010 of $1.5 million in casino chips.

Anthony Carleo rode his bike to the casino entrance and brandishing a gun while wearing a full biker's helmet robbed the high stakes tables of $1.5 million in high-value casino chips and rode off into the sunset as casino security were concerned for visitor safety so did nothing to stop the armed robber.

Carleo was nicknamed the Biker Bandit and local police started looking for him, while informing the Bellagio that they suspect their robber also robbed the Suncoast Casino a few days earlier in a similar way.

He was finally arrested at the scene of the crime; the Bellagio when he tried to sell off $25,000 chips to an undercover police officer.

Now that Carleo is out on $1 million bail and facing charges for robbing the Bellagio, the authorities have finally gathered the evidence they need to add charges against him for the Suncoast robbery.

It is expected that Carleo will plead not guilty to the new charges same as he did with the charges filed against him on the Bellagio case, but authorities are confident they have a good case against him.
